What we do
We are the operator of the Songo Songo gas field, offshore Tanzania, and are focused on delivering reliable and affordable natural gas to Tanzania to support the country’s power needs, industrial development and economic growth.
The Company provides an important role in enabling Tanzania to maintain middle-income status and end energy poverty while increasing its use of its own natural resources and reducing high cost importation.

We are Tanzania’s only fully integrated gas producer and supplier, operating from reservoir, through processing, to distribution to the end user. Our operations are vital to sustaining and supporting growth of Tanzania’s energy and industrial markets, as well as to domestic users of compressed natural gas.
How we do it

We rely heavily on local national talent, we have employed, trained and developed a workforce that today comprises 99% Tanzanians, with local experts leading all departments across the Company.

Annually, we produce approximately 60% of all national natural gas production, with year on year growth of 42% in 2022.

We have constructed, operate and are expanding a downstream distribution network more than 50km in length and supplying almost every major industry in the Dar es Salaam metropolitan area.
Actively investing to further develop the field
We continue to successfully develop the Songo Songo gas field, enabling critical gas resources to be supplied to Tanzania, and generating significant value for all those involved in the project.
A core focus for the Company is increasing production from the Songo Songo gas field. We have an active work program to sustain current gas supplies while evaluating potential future development and investment.
