The Company has been serving Tanzania customers since 1960 supplying roofing products, roofing

solutions and allied building materials to the nation and to its neighboring countries. The products manufactured by ALAF Limited conform to International as well as Tanzania Bureau of Standards quality norms. 

  • Uses of Natural Gas: Annealing furnace, molten metal launder, Hot air drier. LPG
  • Products include: ZINCAL (Aluminium-­‐Zinc coated steel coils), SIMBA DUMU (Zincal base corrugated roofing sheets), Colour Coated Roofing Sheets, Lifestile (Stone Coated Metal Roofing Tiles), SIMBA CHUMA (Steel Pipes, Sections, MS Plates and Z-­‐Purlins), STEELBEND (Cut and Bend of Steel Bars), QUIK MOVERS (Pre-­‐Fabricated Mobile Homes/ Offices), STRAKCHA (Scaffolding Systems), and ULTRA-­‐SPAN (Light Gauge Steel Truss Systems). 

ALAF operates a Cold Rolling Mill with a capacity of 70,000 tons per annum. It also includes a Batch Annealing Facility for producing softer material. The company manufactures high quality ZINCAL (Zinc-­‐ Aluminium Coated Coils).

ALAF also has two tube mills with 18,000 tons per annum capacity producing tubes, pipes and hollow sections. ALAF’s current product range also includes Z-­‐ Purlins, strapping and a host of other steel products.

ALAF Limited also has a mobile roofer (SAFLOK-­‐700) which can be placed at the construction site to make customized SAFLOK-­‐700 profiled sheets up to 150 meter in a single length.

In 2013 ALAF Limited opened its new branch in Mbeya and two new company showrooms at Dar es Salaam and Arusha.

ALAF Limited became the first and only company in its category in Tanzania to be accredited with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2005 based on its Quality Standards and commitment towards environment.

ALAF Limited has been winning the President’s Best Manufacturers of the Year Award (in the Large Industries category), instituted by the Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI), for the last 7 years in succession.

ALAF’s products are well established in Tanzania and best known for their quality.
